Tool #3

I  really liked finding videos that I can use in our science curriculum. I found both videos in You Tube but Discovery Education also had wonderful videos. I chose both videos because we are studying Earth Science and I created a link to each video. I also created a Dropbox Account and there is now a folder on my desktop that I can add files to and I especially like the fact that I can log onto my account from another computer and add photos to it.

I have always been a little confused about copyright and fair use rules for both photos and videos. As long as you are using copyrighted material for face to face teaching you do not need permission to use the material.

TOOL #2

I enjoyed reading the blogs and I discovered some great ideas that I can use in my classroom. I don't usually like to share my thoughts online when I don't know who will be reading them , but I actually felt ok commenting.  I  remembered to ask questions in most of my comments and to be positive. That advice seemed to help when writing the comments.  It made commenting on a blog much easier.

TOOL #1

I created my Voki with the help of Brandi, Julie, and Stacey. It took a little longer than I thought but I feel a little more confident about completing Tool #2.
